- Duelists who successfully pre-register must still arrive at the YCS and check in on Friday, May 1st between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM COT to confirm their seat in the tournament or their seat will be forfeited.
- At check in, Duelists will pay $80,000 COP (Colombian Peso) to receive four (4) booster packs ofthe current booster release Burst Protocol (BPRO), and registration into the event.
- If you are not able to check in on Friday, May 1st prior to 6:30PM due to travel or other issues, you will need to contact the Tournament Organizer at unlimitedhobbycenter@hotmail.com no later than 12:00 PM COT on Friday, May 1st to make alternative check-in arrangements.
- Any Duelist that does not attend a YCS pre-registered for and does not reach out to the registration website team beforehand will be blocked from registering online for future YCS events.
- There will not be any on-time registration on the Saturday of the event. If space allows, late entry will be opened on Saturday and Duelists will be allowed to register to enter the tournament in the second Round with a Round 1 Match Loss.

Q: What is the attendance capacity for YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: Due to safety, health, and fire regulations, we have seating for up to 450 Duelists for the YCS Cartagena 2026. We urge you to pre-register online to have a better chance of being able to play in the Main Event. If the venue reaches capacity, additional Duelists will not be allowed to enter the hall. As space opens up from the Main Event, we will offer numerous Public Events that you will still be able to participate in throughout the weekend.

Q: When do I turn in my Deck List for YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: Deck Lists are due online by 12:00 PM COT on Friday, May 1st.
- Duelists who do not turn in their Deck Lists by this deadline, will automatically forfeit their seat at the YCS. Any Duelist that does not attend a YCS they pre-registered for and does not reach out to the Tournament Organizer at unlimitedhobbycenter@hotmail.com beforehand will be blocked from pre-registering for future YCS/WCQ events.
- Deck Lists must be submitted through the online system. Physical copies of a Deck List will not be accepted onsite for the YCS.
Once a Deck List has been submitted, you can update and resubmit it up until the pre-registration deadline of 12:00 PM COT on Friday, May 1st.
Q: How do I turn in my Deck List for the YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: Please create your Deck List at https://yugiohregistration.com/Decks/MyDeckLists.aspx. Once you have created your Deck List, you can submit it at https://yugiohregistration.com/Events/MyEvents.aspx. Simply find the Submit Deck List link for the YCS event to find the page where you can select the name of the Deck List you have created for the event. We recommend giving each Deck List you create a unique name so that you don’t submit the incorrect Deck List.

Q: How do I check in at the YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: Pre-registered Duelists just need to arrive on-site at the venue between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM COT on Friday, May 1st and follow the signs to check in and confirm your seat in the YCS. At this time, Duelists be asked to pay $80,000 COP (Colombian Peso) and receive four (4) booster packs of Burst Protocol (BPRO) once they are confirmed at check in. Q: If pre-registration is sold out, is there anything I can do to participate at YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: Duelists who register have two deadlines to meet or their seats are forfeited. Any seats that become available will only be open to Duelists on site at the Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indiason Friday, May 1st, 2026. There is NO GUARANTEE any seats will become available if pre- registration sells out, so if you are not local to, or planning to be in Cartagena, Colombia, on the weekend of the YCS, we do not recommend you arrange travel and hotel without a confirmed seat to compete in the YCS. Seating will be limited, and Public Events alone are no reason to travel long distances. There will be more YCS, so please keep that in mind if you are unable to register for this event.

- Best 2 out of 3 Matches
- Swiss Rounds followed by a Single-Elimination Playoff Top Cut. Rounds are dependent on the total number of Duelists at the time registration closes.

Q: What happens at YCS Cartagena 2026?
A: These are big, exciting 2-day events that take place from Saturday to Sunday. Duelists from all over will attend these events to compete for exclusive prizes, earn invites to their next World Championship Qualifier; and spend the weekend Dueling, trading, and hanging out with hundreds of other Yu-Gi-Oh! fans.
In addition to the main Championship Series tournament, there are numerous Public Events, like ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!, Genesys ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! – 100 Point Genesys, Win-A-Mat & More, Speed Duel, Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS (DUEL LINKS)*, Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL (MASTER DUEL), ongoing 100 Point Genesys tournamentsand Regional Qualifier tournaments. Competitive or casual, there is something for everyone to do at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series weekend event.
*In order to participate in DUEL LINKS, Duelists will need to have the latest version of DUEL LINKS which is currently v 10.6.0.
**In order to participate in MASTER DUEL, Duelists will need to have the latest version of MASTER DUEL which is currently v 2.66.0.
Q: Will there be meal breaks during the tournament?
A: There will be a 30-minute meal break on Day 1 to allow Duelists to eat. Announcements will be made the Round prior to the start of the break and a 30-minute time clock will be set. Duelists who do not arrive for the next Round on time will incur tardiness penalties. There will be no meal break on Day 2.
Q: How many Rounds will YCS Cartagena 2026 have?
A: The number of rounds in the tournament will be decided based on the modifier stipulated in section I. Number of Rounds – Tier 3 and Tier 4 Events found in the KDE-US Tournament Policy:

Q: How many Duelists will advance to Day 2?
A: The number of Duelist that return for Day 2 will be based on actual registered Duelist plus all VIPS. (late entries will not be considered)
If there are 256 or fewer Duelists registered for the YCS, then the Top 64 Duelists OR Duelists with a minimum of 15 Points, whichever number is larger, will advance to Day 2.
If there are 257 – 512 Duelists registered for the YCS, then the Top 64 Duelists OR Duelists with a minimum of 18 Points, whichever number is larger, will advance to Day 2.
Q: How many Duelists will advance to the Top Cut?
A: The tournament will cut to Top 8 after all rounds of Swiss are completed and prizes will be awarded down to 32nd place based on the standings of active Duelists.

Q: What is Genesys and will YCS Cartagena offer any Genesys tournaments?
Yes!! YCS Cartagena will offer Genesys tournaments on the Public Events stage.
Genesys rules are simple:
- No Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones.
- The standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies.
- Deck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event.
For YCS Cartagena, all Genesys tournaments will use the 100 Points cap for Deck-building.

Q: How can I register for the Genesys tournaments?
A: For this YCS, Duelists will need to register at the Public Events stage to secure a seat to compete in the Genesys Qualifier tournaments.
- These events will be Genesys format using 100 Points for Deck-building.
- Now Genesys is fully functional on NEURON too! Duelists can build Genesys Decks while viewing points for each card, as well as the total points cost for the Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck. Additional information regarding the Genesys format can be found here: https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/genesys/.
- Duelists will be responsible for submitting their Deck List via NEURON.
Q: I want to vend at YCS Cartagena, who should I contact and by when?
A: Vending space is available free of charge at Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series venues but is only available to Official Tournament Stores in good standing. Vendors must meet certain requirements and agree to abide by set guidelines. Interested vendors should email opsupport.lat@devir.com with the subject line “Request to Vend at YCS Cartagena 2026.” Vendors will be required to complete and apply for each event at which they wish to vend. For this YCS, all applications must be submitted no later than March 20th, 2026.
Keep in mind that KDE-US and Devir Americas handle the applications for vending at Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events, and not the Tournament Organizer.
Cash transactions with anyone other than an approved vendor at an approved location is prohibited at Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events. Attendees who conduct cash transactions, such as selling cards or products, to anyone other than an approved vendor at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event risk penalties including disqualification and expulsion from the venue.
Anyone buying and/or selling as an unauthorized vendor at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series venue may also risk incurring penalties, including but not limited to, being disqualified and removed from the event, suspensions from KONAMI Organized Play, and suspension as an Official Tournament Store.
Q: What if I lost an item at the tournament?
A: Duelists are responsible for looking after their own belongings at the event. KDE-US, Tournament Organizers, Staff, and Judges bear no responsibility for, and cannot be held liable for, any loss, theft or damage to the person or personal property of any attendee.
The Tournament Organizer is required to keep lost and found items for at least 60 days after the conclusion of the Event. Duelists who lost items should seek the Lost & Found on-site. If the item is not found on-site, Duelists are encouraged to contact the Tournament Organizer within the 60-day period on the chance the lost item has been turned in. *** The YCS Prize Card Pack will be available starting at the 1st Round of Swiss on Day 2 based on standings before the start of the Round. Duelists may pick up their packs at the main stage from the start of the 1st Round of Swiss on Day 2 up until the start of Top 8.
The Top 16 and Top 32 Prize Cards will be available after Final Standings are decided prior to the Top 8 cut. Duelists must still be enrolled in the tournament at the end of the final Round of Swiss and ranked in the Top 16 or Top 32 respectively to earn the Top 16 or Top 32 Prize Card.
COVID-19 Restrictions
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE-US) strongly encourages, but does not require, all attendees to be fully vaccinated against infectious diseases and to wear a mask.
