Duel One

Stockdale opened up with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous, Dracotail Lukias, and 2 copies of The Fallen & The Virtuous.

He Normal Summoned Incredible Ecclesia and Tributed it to activate its effect; but he lost out to Curcio’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring! He Set both copies of The Fallen & The Virtuous and then ended his turn.

Curcio activated Rahu Dracotail and Stockdale negated its effect by activating the effect of his own Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Curcio Normal Summoned Dracotail Mululu next. He activated its effect, and Stockdale Chained The Fallen & The Virtuous. He sent The Dragon that Devours the Dogma from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard to destroy Mululu, and then Mululu’s effect resolved. Curcio fused Dracotail Urgula with the Fallen of Albaz in his hand and Summoned Dracotail Arthalion. He targeted the Ash Blossom and Mululu in his Graveyard with Arthalion’s effect and Chained the effect of Urgula. He Set Ketu Dracotail with Urgula and destroyed Stockdale’s face-down The Fallen & The Virtuous, and then returned Ash Blossom and Mululu from his Graveyard to his hand. Next, he flipped up Ketu Dracotail and added Dracotail Faimena from his Deck to his hand with its effect. He activated Faimena’s effect and fused the Arthalion on his field with the Mululu in his hand to Summon Dracotail Gulamel. He used Mululu’s effect to Set Dracotail Flame from his Deck. He used the effect of Urgula in his Graveyard to return it to his Deck and return a Faimena from his Graveyard to his hand. He then attacked with Gulamel to drop Stockdale down to 5200 Life Points and ended his turn. In the End Phase, Stockdale activated the effect of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma that he had sent to the Graveyard earlier in the turn and added The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck to his hand.

Stockdale drew Dracotail Faimena and then entered his Main Phase. He Normal Summoned Dracotail Lukias and activated its effect, but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, he activated the effect of the Faimena in his hand and fused his on-field Lukias with the Incredible Ecclesia in his hand. He activated Arthalion’s effect on the field, targeting Curcio’s Gulamel, and Chained the effect of Lukias in his Graveyard. Curcio Chained the effect of Arthalion in his Graveyard to Special Summon it back to the field, and Chained Gulamel’s effect to destroy Stockdale’s Arthalion. Gulamel returned to the Extra Deck and Curcio Set Ketu Dracotail from his Deck to his field. He activated it and then Chained The Fallen & The Virtuous, attempting to Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia; but Curcio Chained Flame to negate its effect, return Ketu Dracotail from his Graveyard to his Deck, and draw a card. Stockdale added Faimena from his Deck to his hand and then ended his turn. In the End Phase, he used the effect of the Incredible Ecclesia in his Graveyard to return it to his hand.

Curcio activated Rahu Dracotail next turn and fused Mulcharmy Fuwalos and Dracotail Faimena from his hand with a Dracotail Pan in the Deck. He Summoned Arthalion and activated its effect, prompting Stockdale to finally concede!

Vinicius Curcio takes advantage of William Stockdale’s weak opening hand and wins the first Duel of the Match!

Duel Two

He Added Dracotail Pan from his Deck to his hand and then fused Pan with the Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous in his hand. He Fusion Summoned Secreterion Dragon and Stockdale immediately conceded.
