Harrison is using a Fiendsmith Snake-Eye Kashtira Deck with new Azamina cards in it, while Hanfeng is using a Snake-Eye Fire King Deck featuring Fire King Courtier Ulcanix and three copies of the new Dominus Impulse Trap Card. Only one of these Duelists can advance undefeated, and we’re about to find out who it’ll be. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Lightman opened up Duel 1 with Triple Tactics Talent, Kashtira Unicorn, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and 2 copies of Infinite Impermanence.

He Special Summoned the Unicorn and activated its effect, but lost out to Lin’s Infinite Impermanence. Lightman Set both copies of his own Infinite Impermanence and then ended his turn.

Lin Special Summoned Diabellstar the Black Witch from his hand by sending Fire King High Avatar Garunix from his hand to his Graveyard. He activated its effect, but lost out to Lightman’s Infinite Impermanence. In a new Chain, Lightman used the effect of his Unicorn to banish S:P Little Knight from Lin’s Extra Deck face-down. Lin entered his Battle Phase and attacked Unicorn, destroying both monsters in battle. He passed his turn with a clear field.

Lightman drew Crossout Designator and Set it.

Lin Normal Summoned Fire King Courtier Ulcanix and activated its effect; but Lightman used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate it. He attacked directly with Ulcanix and then ended his turn.

Lightman drew his third Infinite Impermanence! He kept it in his hand and then ended his turn.

Lin Normal Summoned Legendary Fire King Ponix and activated its effect, but lost out to another Infinite Impermanence. Next, he sent Ponix and Ulcanix to the Graveyard to Link Summon Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze. Lightman flipped Crossout Designator naming Diabellstar the Black Witch and banished a copy of Diabellstar from his Deck. Next, Lin used the effect of Hiita to Special Summon Ash Blossom and Link Summoned Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames. He used its effect, but with his own field now clear, Lightman activated the Infinite Impermanence in his hand to negate its effect. Promethean Princess attacked directly, dropping Lightman down to 4500 Life Points.

Lightman drew Bonfire! He activated it to add Snake-Eye Ash to his hand, prompting Lin to activate the effect of Droll & Lock Bird. He activated Triple Tactics Talent to take control of Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames and used its effect to Special Summon Ash Blossom from his Graveyard. Next, he sent the Princess and Ash Blossom to the Graveyard to Link Summon Hiita and used its effect to Special Summon Promethean Princess from Lin’s Graveyard. Next, he Normal Summoned Snake-Eye Ash and attacked directly with all monsters, dropping Lin down to 2650 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Lightman used Ash’s effect to send it to the Graveyard along with Promethean Princess and Special Summon Snake-Eye Oak from his Deck. He used its effect to add a Snake-Eye Ash from his Graveyard to his hand and then sent Oak and Hiita to the Graveyard to Link Summon Silhouhatte Rabbit. He used Rabbit’s effect to Set Angel Statue – Azurune from his Deck to his back row and then ended his turn.

Lin Normal Summoned Snake-Eye Oak and used its effect to Special Summon Ponix from his Graveyard. He used Ponix’s effect to add Fire King Sanctuary from his Deck to his hand. He activated it and placed Fire King Island from his Deck face-up into his Field Spell Zone. He used the Island’s effect, and Lightman Chained Azurune to Special Summon it. Island destroyed Ponix, and Lin added Sacred Fire King Garunix from his Deck to his hand. He activated its effect to Special Summon it to his field, and Lightman tried to use his Silhouhatte Rabbit’s effect to destroy Fire King Island; but Lin used his Sanctuary to protect it by destroying an Ash Blossom in his hand. Garunix’s effect destroyed Fire King High Avatar Kirin from his Deck, and Kirin’s effect Special Summoned Fire King High Avatar Garunix from his Graveyard and destroyed Azurune. Next, Lin used Oak’s effect to send Oak and Sanctuary to his Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon. He used the Flamberge Dragon’s effect to move the Rabbit into the back row, and then direct attacks from Lin’s three monsters wiped out all of Lightman’s Life Points!

A rough draw that included 3 copies of Infinite Impermanence from Lightman allows Matthew Lin to take a decisive victory in the first Duel! After the Duelists finished Side Decking, Lightman chose to go second in Duel 2!

Duel Two

Lin started off Duel 2 with Bonfire but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.

He Normal Summoned Ponix and used its effect to add Fire King Island to his hand. He activated Sanctuary from his hand, and then activated the Island. He activated the Island’s effect, and when Lightman Chained the effect of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy the Island, Lin used his Sanctuary’s effect to destroy the Ponix on his field instead. He resolved his Island’s effect to destroy Diabellstar from his hand and added Sacred Fire King Garunix to his hand.

Lightman drew Bonfire and added it to his hand of Called by the Grave, Snake-Eyes Diabellstar, and Diabellstar the Black Witch. He used Bonfire to add Snake-Eye Ash to his hand and then Normal Summoned it. He used its effect to add Snake-Eyes Poplar to his hand and then tried to Special Summon Poplar from his hand; but Lin Chained Dominus Impulse to negate its effect. Next, Lightman Special Summoned Diabellstar the Black Witch from his hand by sending Poplar to the Graveyard. He activated the Black Witch’s effect, and that was enough to get Lin to concede!

Harrison Lightman wins the second Duel after disrupting Lin’s first turn with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. The Match is going to a third and final Duel! Once the Duelists were finished Side Decking, Lin made the decision to go second!

Duel Three

Lightman opened up Duel 3 with Diabellstar the Black Witch, WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils, Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye, and 2 copies of Infinite Impermanence. He sent an Infinite Impermanence to his Graveyard to Special Summon Diabellstar the Black Witch and used its effect to Set a Deception of the Sinful Spoils from his Deck to his field. He activated it and then activated WANTED to add Snake-Eyes Diabellstar to his hand. Lin activated the effect of the Droll & Lock Bird in his hand, preventing Lightman from adding any more cards from his Deck to his hand. Next, Lightman used Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye by sending Deception to the Graveyard, and lost out to Lin’s Ash Blossom. Lightman Set Infinite Impermanence. He then Set Deception from his Graveyard to his field in the End Phase.

Lin Normal Summoned a Snake-Eye Oak and then activated Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye. He sent Oak to the Graveyard and Special Summoned Ponix from his Deck. He activated its effect, but lost out to Lightman’s Infinite Impermanence. He attacked Diabellstar with Ponix and took 2000 points of damage. Ponix was destroyed, allowing Lin to Special Summon Sacred Fire King Garunix from his hand. He used its effect to destroy Fire King High Avatar Kirin from his Deck. He used Kirin’s effect to destroy Diabellstar and Special Summon Ponix, and Lightman used Diabellstar’s effect to Special Summon it back to his field by sending Deception to the Graveyard. Diabellstar’s effect Set WANTED from Lightman’s Deck to his field, and then Garunix attacked and destroyed Diabellstar. In Main Phase 2, Lin used Ponix to Link Summon Relinquished Anima and then Link Summoned Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy. He used Dharc’s effect to Special Summon Diabellstar and used Diabellstar’s effect to Set Deception from his Deck. He flipped it and then used its effect by Tributing Dharc. He added The Hallowed Azamina from his Deck to his hand. He activated it, Special Summoning Azamina Mu Rcielago to his field and sending Deception to the Graveyard. In the End Phase, he Set Deception from his Graveyard back to his field with Deception’s effect.

Lightman drew Fiendsmith’s Tract and then activated WANTED to add Diabellstar the Black Witch to his hand. Next, he sent a Snake-Eyes Diabellstar from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon Diabellstar the Black Witch and activated its effect; but he lost out to Infinite Impermanence. Lightman banished Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye from his Graveyard next, returning a Snake-Eyes Diabellstar from his Graveyard to his Deck to get Snake-Eye Ash. He Normal Summoned the Ash and added a Poplar to his hand with its effect. He used Poplar’s effect to Special Summon it and add Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye from his Deck to his hand. He activated the Temple, using its effect to place a Snake-Eyes Diabellstar from his Deck into his back row. He banished a WANTED from his Graveyard and returned an Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye from banishment to his Deck to draw a Fiendsmith Engraver. He activated the Tract, and Lin conceded knowing that he was defeated.

Harrison Lightman wins the Match with his Deck that uses Snake-Eye, Kashtira, Fiendsmith, and Azamina cards! He’s advancing in the tournament with a perfect 6-0 record!
