Only one of these Duelists can advance undefeated. It’s time to Duel!
Duel One
Sevush opened up Duel 1 with Strike of the Monarchs, Pantheism of the Monarchs, Eidos the Underworld Monarch, and 2 copies of Tenacity of the Monarchs.

He started off his turn by activating Pantheism of the Monarchs by sending Tenacity from his hand to his Graveyard and drawing The Monarchs Masterplan and Tessera the Primal Squire from his Deck. He banished Pantheism from his Graveyard and revealed 3 copies of The Monarchs Revolt from his Deck, adding one to his hand and shuffling the other 2 back into his Deck. Next, he activated The Monarchs Revolt by discarding Eidos from his hand and revealed Erebus the Underworld Monarch, Ehther the Heavenly Monarch, and Edea the Heavenly Squire from his Deck. Singh chose to add the Edea to Sevush’s hand and the remaining 2 Monarchs went to the Graveyard. Next, Sevush banished Revolt from his hand to Special Summon Edea from his hand and then activated Edea’s effect to Special Summon Eidos the Underworld Squire from his Deck. He activated its effect to gain another Normal Summon and then used the effect of Erebus in his Graveyard. He discarded Masterplan from his hand to return Erebus from his Graveyard to his hand and then Tributed his 2 monsters to Summon Erebus. He activated the effect of Erebus on his field, Chaining the effects of Eidos and Edea in his Graveyard. Edea’s effect added Pantheism from banishment to Sevush’s hand; Eidos Special Summoned itself from the Graveyard; and then Erebus’s effect sent The Prime Monarch and The Monarchs Masterplan from his Deck to his Graveyard to shuffle a random card from Singh’s hand into his Deck. Next, he activated the effect of the Eidos he had just Summoned to add Ehther from his Graveyard to his hand. He activated the effect of Tessera in his hand next to Special Summon it by revealing Tenacity. Next, he used Tessera’s effect to Tribute Erebus and Summon Ehther, and then used Ehther’s effect. He sent Pantheism and Revolt from his Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon another Ehther and then used the effect of the Erebus in his Graveyard to return it to his hand by discarding Pantheism from his hand. He then Tributed Ehther to Summon Erebus and used its effect. He sent Revolt and Masterplan from his Deck to his Graveyard to shuffle another card from Singh’s hand into his Deck, dropping him down to 3 cards in his hand. Next, he Set a card to his back row and ended his turn. In the End Phase, Ehther returned to Sevush’s hand.

Singh drew a card and then conceded, intimidated by Sevush’s mighty Monarchs.
Duel Two
Singh started off Duel 2 by activating Polymerization to fuse Dracotail Pan and D.D. Crow from his hand.

He Special Summoned Dracotail Arthalion and activated the effects of Arthalion and Pan. He used Arthalion’s effect to return D.D. Crow and Pan from his Graveyard to his hand and used Pan’s effect to Set Rahu Dracotail from his Deck. He flipped it face-up and fused Dracotail Pan from his hand with Dracotail Lukia from his Main Deck to Special Summon Dracotail Gulamel. He used Lukias’s effect in the Graveyard to Set Ketu Dracotail from his Deck. He flipped it up and used its effect to add Dracotail Phryxul from his Deck to his hand. He Normal Summoned it and activated its effect to Special Summon Lukias from his Graveyard and then return Phryxul to his hand. He then used Lukia’s effect to add Dracotail Faimena from his Deck to his hand. He activated the effect of Faimena in his hand next, discarding it to fuse Phryxul from his hand with Arthalion on his field and Summon Mysterion the Dragon Crown. He used Phryxul’s effect in the Graveyard to Set Dracotail Flame from his Deck to his back row and then Set 2 cards from his hand to his back row before ending his turn.
Sevush opened up Duel 2 with Ehther the Heavenly Monarch, Pot of Greed, Pantheism of the Monarchs, The Monarchs Revolt, and The Monarchs Stormforth. He drew Erebus the Underworld Monarch for his turn and then activated Pot of Greed. Singh thought for a while about whether to negate its effect. “Do you want me to explain what the card does?” Sevush jokingly asked. Singh ultimately allowed the effect of Pot of Greed to resolve and Sevush drew Spell Card “Soul Exchange” and Tenacity of the Monarchs with its effect. He activated The Monarchs Stormforth and Singh allowed it to resolve. Sevush activated Pantheism of the Monarchs next by sending Tenacity from his hand to his Graveyard. Sevush drew The Prime Monarch and The Monarchs Masterplan from his Deck. Singh immediately used the effect of D.D. Crow in his hand to banish Pantheism from Sevush’s Graveyard. Sevush activated The Monarchs Masterplan next, sending Strike of the Monarchs from his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished it from his Graveyard to use its effect and make all monsters on the field DARK. Next, he activated The Monarchs Revolt by discarding The Prime Monarch from his hand as a cost. Singh Chained Dracotail Flame to negate the Revolt, return Ketu Dracotail from his Graveyard to his Deck, and draw a card. Next, Sevush banished Masterplan from his Graveyard to Special Summon The Prime Monarch from his Graveyard with its effect. Since Masterplan was banished, he used its effect by targeting Gulamel. Singh Chained Dracotail Horn targeting Gulamel, then Chained Gulamel’s effect to destroy The Prime Monarch. Gulamel returned to the Deck due to Horn’s effect and Singh returned Flame from his Graveyard to his Deck to draw a card. With Gulamel off of the field, Sevush was unable to successfully use the effect of his banished Masterplan. Sevush activated Spell Card “Soul Exchange” next and Tributed both of Singh’s monsters to Summon Erebus. Next, the effect of Spell Card “Soul Exchange” activated as Chain Link 1, and Erebus’s effect activated as Chain Link 2. Singh Chained the effect of Arthalion in his Graveyard, then Chained Dracotail Sting. He banished The Prime Monarch with Sting and returned a Horn from his Graveyard to his Deck to draw a card. Then Arthalion was Special Summoned to the field, and Erebus sent Pantheism and Masterplan from Sevush’s Deck to his Graveyard to return a random card in Singh’s hand to his Deck. Singh couldn’t use the effect of Spell Card “Soul Exchange” to his benefit, and in a new Chain, he activated the effect of D.D. Crow in his hand to banish Pantheism from Sevush’s Graveyard. Sevush ended his turn, clearly behind in the Duel.
Singh activated the effect of King of the Swamp on his next turn by discarding it to the Graveyard. He added Polymerization from his Deck to his hand and then activated Polymerization to fuse Urgula with the on-field Arthalion and Summon Dracotail Shaulas. He used Urgula’s effect to Set Ketu Dracotail from his Deck and then activated the effect of Urgula in his Graveyard. He returned it to his Deck to add Phryxul from his Graveyard to his hand. He Normal Summoned Phryxul and activated its effect targeting Lukias in his Graveyard. He Special Summoned Lukias and returned Phryxul to his hand. He then used Lukias’s effect to add Dracotail Mululu from his Deck to his hand. Singh flipped Ketu Dracotail next. He added Pan from his Deck to his hand and then fused Mululu with Lukias to Fusion Summon Secreterion Dragon. He activated the effects of Mululu and Lukias to Set Rahu Dracotail and Dracotail Flame. He then used the effect of Shaulas by targeting 2 cards in his Graveyard and the Erebus on the field; but Sevush Chained Ehther’s effect and Summoned it by Tributing Erebus! Shaulas’s effect couldn’t resolve successfully with Erebus off of the field, and in a new Chain, Ehther’s effect activated. Sevush sent The Monarchs Revolt and The Monarchs Masterplan from his Deck to his Graveyard and Special Summoned another Ehther from his Deck. Singh activated Rahu Dracotail next, and Sevush promptly conceded.

The Match is going to a third and final Duel!
Duel Three
Sevush opened up Duel 3 with The Monarchs Revolt, The Monarchs Stormforth, Eidos the Underworld Squire, and 2 copies of Pantheism of the Monarchs. He activated Pantheism by sending another Pantheism from his hand to his Graveyard and then drew Pot of Greed and Ehther from his Deck. He banished Pantheism from his Graveyard to reveal 3 copies of Tenacity from his Deck, adding 1 to his hand and returning the other 2 to his Deck. He activated Pot of Greed to draw Pot of Greed and The Monarchs Masterplan from his Deck, then used another Pot of Greed to draw Tenacity and Tessera from his Deck. He activated Revolt and discarded Tessera to reveal an Erebus and 2 copies of Eidos the Underworld Monarch from his Deck. He used Tessera’s effect in the Graveyard to Special Summon Edea from his Deck and then used Edea’s effect to Special Summon Eidos the Underworld Squire. He used Eidos’s effect to gain an extra Summon. He discarded Masterplan from his hand to return Erebus from his Graveyard to his hand, then Tributed Eidos and Edea to Summon Erebus. He activated the effects of Erebus, Eidos the Underworld Monarch, and Edea. He returned a banished Pantheism to his hand, Summoned Eidos from his Graveyard, and used Erebus’s effect to send The Prime Monarch and Masterplan from his Deck to his Graveyard and return a random card from Singh’s hand to his Deck. Next, he used Eidos’s effect on the field to add Strike of the Monarchs from his Deck to his hand. He banished Eidos the Underworld Squire from his Graveyard to Special Summon Tessera from the Graveyard and then used Tessera’s effect to Tribute Erebus and Summon Ehther. He activated Ehther’s effect, sending Revolt and Masterplan from his Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon another Ehther. He then discarded Tenacity from his hand to return Erebus from his Graveyard to his hand. He activated Tenacity by revealing Erebus and added Monarchic Perfection from his Deck to his hand. Next, he banished Tenacity from his Graveyard to Special Summon The Prime Monarch from his Graveyard. He Tributed The Prime Monarch and Eidos to Summon Erebus. He activated its effect, sending Pantheism and Strike from his Deck to his Graveyard and dropping Singh down to just 3 cards in his hand. Sevush Set 3 cards to his back row and then ended his turn. In the End Phase, an Ehther returned to Sevush’s hand.
Singh Normal Summoned Aleister the Invoker and activated its effect to add Invocation from his Deck to his hand. He activated it, and Sevush Chained Strike of the Monarchs. He Tributed Erebus to negate the effect of Invocation and draw a card. Next, Singh activated Rahu Dracotail and Sevush Chained Monarchic Perfection. Singh fused Shaddoll Beast and Dracotail Urgula in his hand with a Dracotail Faimena in his Deck to Summon Arthalion. Singh activated the effects of Beast, Urgula, Faimena, and Arthalion in Chain, targeting Urgula and Faimena in the Graveyard with the Arthalion’s effect. Sevush Chained the effect of Monarchic Perfection as Chain Link 5, then Chained The Monarchs Stormforth as Chain Link 6. Stormforth resolved, and then Perfection’s effect resolved to banish Arthalion from the field by banishing Tenacity from the Graveyard. Singh Set Sting and Ketu from his Deck and drew a card with Beast’s effect. Singh activated Magical Meltdown to add Aleister the Invoker from his Deck to his hand next and then flipped Ketu Dracotail. He added Dracotail Mululu from his Deck to his hand and fused Mululu with Aleister to Summon Secreterion Dragon. He activated the effect of Mululu and Set Rahu Dracotail from his Deck. He was out of plays for the turn, and with the clock for the round ticking down to just 1 minute, he conceded, realizing that his opponent would inevitably win the Duel if it were allowed to conclude.

Matthew Sevush advances with a 5-0 record with his Monarch Deck after using back-to-back copies of Pot of Greed!
