While many Duelists here at YCS Richmond have competed at YCS events before, not all of them have. For some, this is their very first YCS!

For Madison Trevino and Karmen Barnhart, this is the first time that they’ve been able to attend a YCS event! The two Duelists are competing at the 300th YCS this weekend, with Trevino playing in the Advanced Format and Barnhart in Genesys Format.

We asked what stood out about this event compared to other tournaments that they’ve attended, they said: “The size of the event, mainly. It’s such a big space and there’s so many players! But despite that, the event staff have been really helpful. There were a lot of people registering yesterday but the line moved really quickly.”

Trevino and Barnhart chose to cosplay as Dragonmaids for the weekend! Will they be playing Dragonmaids in the 300th YCS, or will they play completely different Decks and try to throw off their opponents? Keep an eye on the coverage all weekend long to see how these Duelists perform all weekend long!
