It’s Round 10 here at the 2025 North America Remote Duel YCS! In this Feature Match, we have Jeremy Alan AmRhein, playing the Mitsurugi Orcust strategy, facing off against Savvas Charalampidis and his Mitsurugi Yummy Deck! Both Duelists have incorporated the Mitsurugi cards into their respective strategies, but only one can be declared the winner. It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Charalampidis won the die roll and chose to go first! He began by Normal Summoning Cupsy☆Yummy, then used it to Link Summon Yummy☆Snatchy and place Yummyusment☆Mignon to his Field Spell Zone. He activated Mignon’s effect, Special Summoning back Cupsy to the field, then used the two to Synchro Summon Cupsy☆Yummy Way, searching for Marshmao☆Yummy and Lollipo☆Yummy then discarding Mulcharmy Purulia. On resolution, AmRhein activated the effect of Droll & Lock Bird, but Charalampidis followed up with Called by the Grave! Next, Charalampidis Special Summoned Lollipo☆Yummy, used Lollipo to Link Summon another Snatchy, then Special Summoned Marshmao☆Yummy from hand.

Here, Charalampidis activated the effect of Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi, Special Summoning and Tributing Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji, then searching for Mitsurugi Ritual. He activated Ritual, Special Summoning Habakiri from hand by Tributing Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi and Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Aramasa from his Deck. He added Ritual back to hand and searched for Futsu no Mitama no Mitsurugi, then activated Ritual once again, Tributing Futsu from hand to Special Summon Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi from his Deck! He activated the effect of the Tributed Futsu, searching for Mitsurugi Mirror, then activated it, Tributing Habakiri from his field to Special Summon back Futsu from the Graveyard. He Special Summoned back the Tributed Habakiri and searched for Mitsurugi Great Purification. He used Marsh and Snatchy to Synchro Summon Lollipo☆Yummy Way, and activated its effect to Special Summon back Cupsy☆Yummy and Lollipo☆Yummy from the Graveyard. He used Cupsy and Lollipo☆Yummy Way to Synchro Summon Shamisen Samsara Sorrowcat, then used Sorrowcat and Lollipo☆Yummy to Synchro Summon Herald of the Arc Light! Finally, he Set two cards to his backrow and ended his turn.

AmRhein looked at his opponent’s board and knew that he wouldn’t be able to push through it. He conceded the first Duel without revealing his Deck!

Duel 2

AmRhein chose to go first in the second Duel! He started by activating the effect of Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi, Special Summoning and Tributing Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji, but when he activated Saji’s effect, Charalampidis responded with the effect of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring! Next, AmRhein Normal Summoned Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi, adding Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji back to hand, then Set a card to his backrow and ended his turn.

Charalampidis also began his turn by activating the effect of Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi in his hand, Special Summoning and Tributing Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji from his Deck; however, AmRhein had no response, so Charalampidis was able to add Mitsurugi Ritual to hand! He activated Ritual, but here, AmRhein Chained Dominus Impulse! Charalampidis then Normal Summoned Cupsy☆Yummy and searched for Yummy☆Surprise, and used Cupsy to Link Summon Yummy☆Snatchy and place Yummyusment☆Mignon to the Field Spell Zone. He activated Mignon’s effect, Special Summoning back Cupsy from the Graveyard, then used Snatchy and Cupsy to Synchro Summon Cupsy☆Yummy Way! He searched for Marshmao☆Yummy and Lollipo☆Yummy, then discarded Mulcharmy Meowls. Charalampidis activated the effect of Marshmao, Special Summoning it from hand, used it to make another Snatchy, then Special Summoned Lollipo☆Yummy from hand and returned AnRhein’s Impulse to the Deck. He used Snatchy and Lollipo to Synchro Summon Lollipo☆Yummy Way and activated its effect to bring Marshmao and Lollipo back from the Graveyard.

All of Charalampidis’ Yummy monsters gained 2000 Attack Points from the effect of Mignon, so he proceeded straight to the Battle Phase. He destroyed Kusanagi in battle, then attacked with his other monsters to reduce AmRhein’s Life Points to zero.

With the victory, Charalampidis’ record improves to an impressive 8-2, hopefully taking him one step closer to the Top Cut here at the Remote Duel YCS!
